Elham Valley Railway Museum - Barn Restoration Project

An important acquisition to the Trust is an original barn found in the immediate vicinity to the Elham Valley Railway Museum

Re-named as 'The Countryside Visitors Centre'

This Barn was rescued from Danton Farm, the area of land where the Eurotunnel complex now stands

The Barn was taken down in 1984 and put in storage for 10 years

The Barn is some 280 years old

The Heritage Lottery Fund has provided finance for the reconstruction project

The Barn will be a centre for craft and countryside exhibitions and provide learning facilities for local schools and societies
